About this quiz

The Science Café Revision Profile Quiz is a free, short diagnostic tool designed to help parents of GCSE Science students understand some of the common patterns that may be affecting their child's revision. The profile you receive is a helpful description and starting point for conversation — it is not a formal educational assessment, psychological diagnosis, or guarantee of exam results.

What data we collect

When you complete the quiz and submit your details to receive your child's full profile, we collect:

• Your first name and surname
• Your email address
• Your mobile number
• Your answers to the 8 quiz questions and the resulting profile

You do not have to submit your contact details to use the quiz, but you will only receive the full profile breakdown if you do.

How we use quiz data

We use the information you provide to:

• Email or message you your child's Revision Profile
• Send the free revision guide offered on the quiz page
• Follow up with occasional support, tips, or offers related to GCSE Science revision
• Record the submission in our customer management system for service delivery

We process this data on the lawful basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form. We keep your details until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You can also withdraw consent or unsubscribe from our messages. To do this, email sarah.kennett@sciencecafe.co.uk.

Intellectual property

All content on this quiz — including the questions, profile descriptions, study plans, and branding — is owned by Science Café or used under licence. You may share the quiz link with others, but you may not copy, reproduce, or resell the content without our written permission.

Limitation of liability

The quiz and the resources we provide are for general information and support only. They do not replace professional educational advice, tutoring, or any pastoral or medical support your child may need. Science Café is not responsible for any exam outcomes or decisions made based on the quiz results.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the date at the top.
